Arrival in Tbilisi. You will meet with the guide and the driver at the International airport, where you will transfer to the hotel and check in. Overnight in Tbilisi.

Get a feel for the city with a vibrant walking tour

The day will start with breakfast at the hotel, and afterwards you will have a walking tour in old district of the city. Founded by Vakhtang Gorgasali - the Georgian King of Kartli (Iberia) - and made into a capital in the 6th century, Tbilisi is a significant industrial, social, and cultural center.

Your walking tour includes visits to the following sightseeing spots:

• Metekhi Church, which was erected on the cliff, and is overlooking the Mtkvari River
• The famous Sulfur Baths, also located in Old Tbilisi, on the other side of the river.
• In the same district, we ascend by cableway on the Narikala Fortress. Called the ‘mother fortress of Tbilisi’, Narikala is an ancient symbol of city’s defence system. It was established in the 4th century, around the period when the city itself was founded.
• Visit Meidani Square and walk on Shardeni street, with its fashionable, cozy cafes and art galleries, passing alongside the Sioni Cathedral and Anchiskhati Basilica.
• The tour also takes you to Rustaveli Avenue, where attractions such as the Tbilisi Opera and Ballet theatre, Rustaveli Theatre, different art galleries and cafes will draw your attention and provide a cosmopolitan atmosphere. In the evening, we will transfer back to the hotel. Overnight in Tbilisi.

The Birthplace of Joseph Stalin

Breakfast will be at the hotel and then we will drive to Gori. The city was founded by one of the greatest kings of Georgia, known as David the Builder (1089 –1125). We will visit the Joseph Stalin Museum here - this town is actually where the leader of the Soviet Union was born. Afterwards, we will drive to visit Uplistsikhe, "the lord's fortress", which is a UNESCO world heritage site. It is an ancient rock-hewn town in eastern Georgia, built on a high rocky left bank of Mtkvari River. It contains various structures dating from the 2nd ML BC to the Late Middle Ages, and is notable for the unique styles of the rock carvings. Finally we will drive back to Tbilisi. Overnight in Tbilisi.

Fantastic views from up on high

Breakfast will be at the hotel. Today we will drive to Kazbegi, a mountain region of the country. On the way, we will pass Ananuri Castle and Jinvali water reservoir, both of which are scenes of amazing beauty. Stop and see different local handmade crafts (such as thick felt, embroidery and iconographic painting). A stunning drive from Gudauri along the Tergi River will bring us to Stepantsminda – the main town in the region. Visit Kazbegi and soak up its surroundings. From the center, we drive through beautiful valleys and woodlands to visit the Gergeti Trinity Church, located at 7,119ft. You may observe one of the highest glaciers in the Caucasus – Mt Kazbegi (16,500ft). Drive back to Tbilisi and transfer to the hotel. Overnight in Tbilisi.

Experience Georgian wine culture in Kakheti

Start the day with breakfast at the hotel. Today we will drive to the Kakheti region in the eastern part of Georgia, which is known as the cradle of Georgian wine. First we will visit David Gareji (cave city) which is one of the most important landmarks of Georgia. This site is characterized by a unique combination of historic architecture, prehistoric archaeological sites, rich paleontological fields and important bio-geographical features. The dozens of cave monasteries decorated with unique frescoes are the best examples of harmonious interaction of man-made structures with the dramatic landscape.

Then we will drive to Sighnaghi, the “city of love”. Our excursion will be within the city, that stands on the ruined fortress (1.5 miles length of the walls), with towers and entrances of the 18th century, which is still well preserved to this day. Climbing on any of these towers you can observe the stunning beauty of Alazani Valley. Drive back to Tbilisi and transfer to the hotel. Overnight in Tbilisi.
